This was what we had for dinner, plus four different kinds of dessert. Token turkey, but most of us feasted on prime rib.
I asked my niece and nephew and my cousin's sons what they were thankful for, and they started with "I'm thankful for my family, my home, and my health," and "I'm thankful to be alive," which is pretty good, and then they took a delightful turn for the absurd: "I'm thankful for my hair, or else I would be bald!"
Me, I'm thankful that I'm not in some crowded store fighting the Black Friday crowds while having a panic attack, and (I've been reading some grim stuff) I'm thankful for clean water, heat, and a safe and peaceful life. And also my family and friends, my home, my health, and my hair.
